Their hollow shaft allows these rotary encoders to be directly coupled to the mating shaft. No additional rotor coupling is required. The resulting high rigidity permits higher bandwidths in the control loop, reduces inaccuracy, and simplifies installation.
The rotary encoders of this series consist of a scanning unit and a disk/hub assembly. Because these encoders are frictionless, no additional starting torque is exerted. Their positioning accuracy is largely determined by the line count selected for the graduated disk when ordered.
The modular design without an integral bearing permits high mechanical speeds of up to 25,000 rpm. The electrically permissible shaft speed arises from the maximum output frequency and the selected line count of the disk/hub assembly.
The rotary encoders of this series feature high ruggedness and reliability in a compact design, with an outer diameter of 52 mm. Small dimensions and touchless scanning make this series of rotary encoders very versatile.
