The PP 281 two-coordinate encoder uses interferential scanning. Its measuring standard is a phase grating on a glass-ceramic graduation carrier. The encoder features very small measuring steps combined with extremely high accuracy.

Thanks to very short signal periods and high resolution, this encoder is perfect for high-precision applications. The mounting tolerances are unusually wide for such high-accuracy encoders, permitting easy installation.
